Smooth animation and camera moves! Nice depth tricks with the ladder and barrel, too. Plenty of funny moments. This was totally NOT the crap I was expecting! I do believe Xiao would be proud.

Even though it was very simple, I thought it was dope. I like when little blob-man was like, "ALL RIGHT". :D Another cool thing about it was that, unlike many simple 'fight' flashes I've seen, your characters had an actual form; they weren't just stick-line people, know what I mean? Good show!

WOOOOOOOOW, THAT IS MESSED UP...!!! We'll just never know...
Great punchline, but improve the artwork of the forest and the ball's facial expressions. Needs more trees and more of a foresty appearance.

It's a fair looper, but the scene is a bit too subdued for its music. By the sound, I'd expect a more active scene. What if Samus' arm cannon was like a glowstick (or had one sticking out of the barrel)? You could pull off some neat glow-echo effect with it.
Samus needs more friends to rave with.

My review comes in two parts; the part you want to hear and the part no one probably cares about. First, the lighter side:
It was a pretty good movie with a decent execution, and I 3'd it.
I feel, like a couple of others, that the weakest link was MJ's scene. I'm in agreement with Shadow-ice; the Boomerang was broken! It nailed the wrong target! Never mind that...his frappings went on for waaaaay too long. I think we spend more time with that ordeal than with any other scene in the movie. In fact, I think MJ's gas stinks up half of the movie's total running time!
And now for the part no one will probably care about. Bear with me.
I first saw this three years ago, and I remember it hitting pretty hard. But not for the good reasons...
Flying Cross bears a similarity to Merry Xmas, an animation from December 2002 which I have yet to finish. In it, Trevor Belmont tosses a Boomerang that interferes with other scenarios, including the Zero Wing opening. The beta of Merry Xmas had been presented at DYNAKYRIS (my site) at least five months before Flying Cross premiered on Newgrounds.
Unless the likeness is just some insane coincidence, it would seem here that you finished what I started and took all of the credit.
Was Flying Cross indeed inspired by my Merry Xmas beta?
Whatever the case, whenever (and if ever) I get around to finishing Merry Xmas (or whatever it'll be called by then), it'll just have to kick that much more ass.
Thanks for bearing.

"Holy crap, how the HELL did you do that?!"
As cheap as the art was, the effect is something I have NEVER seen before! You might have something here if you do some more research & development.
Reminds me of the Mode 7 graphics of F-Zero...
How in the hell did you pull this off?!?!?!
Author's Response:
I was reading a book in my college library and I tried some of the effects from chapter 10 (fake 3-d) and it worked, I am now making a full game of this and I just used this to test the reaction of fake 3-d.
Thanks for the comments :D

That must've been a pain to clean up...
My favorite part was when The Chosen One flipped the IM window. :]

In this age of widespread broadband, anyone who ignored the File Information may be lead to believe that this gag is a huge movie.
What it really is, is an animation consisting of a simulated Loading screen followed by a play button to cut into a blink-and-you'll-miss-it scene of Wario tumbling across the screen.
Yeah, I fell for it, too.

"A camera chase with no pretense."
Okay, so they're racing. /Why/ are they racing? Why did all these characters from Cartoon Network and so on gather to do (M/W)ario Kart? Did you consider a story? (Perhaps I'm missing something in not seeing the first one? Never mind, I just did...)
The scene seems cluttered. Reducing the size of the pickup icons might help. I sense an imbalance of quality; the grassy field and the track look worse than what's driving over them.
I'm guessing you created this race as one big Graphic sequence and then tweened it around to simulate camera movement? If so, you've got my respect on that.
